Diaper-Free Julie
After 4 years and a month, finally, Julie is officially “diaper-free”! Meaning, she doesn’t wear diapers before going to bed anymore. Yipee! A huge savings right there. ![]()
I’m glad she took on my challenge willingly and without even asking for anything in return. I’ve been asking her to refrain from wearing diapers before going to bed but she kept on insisting that she should, until finally, I decided to have a small heart-to-heart talk with my daughter few weeks ago, told her that she’s growing up real fast, and that big girls don’t wear diapers anymore. I asked her to do this for mommy, and she agreed.
So that same night, I asked her to pee before sleeping, to ensure that she won’t go on bed-wetting during her sleep, and I also asked her to do her best to wake up when she feels like peeing in the middle of the night, and guess what? Around 11pm, I heard a faint “mommy, wee wee” so I hurriedly got up and assisted her to the loo.
Ever since that night, she has been diaper-free!
I’m very proud of my little one and as of this writing while gazing upon her in her beauty “diaper-free” sleep.
On the side note, I’m a bit worried whenever she wakes up in the middle of the night to pee, would it affect her development?

no mommy, it won’t affect her development. it just goes to show that she’s developing normally and her body is healthy and functioning well. congratulations! my son was three years old when were diaper-free. but now, we’re back to buying diapers for the little baby…way to go for your little princess!

Congratulations! Your daughter reached another milestone and your budget on diapers can now be used for some other needs.
I don’t think waking up in the middle of the night to pee will harm our children’s health since after peeing they usually get back to sleep easily.
Have a nice day.

Congrats to another milestone for Julie. Children differ in their skill development. I have 5 children and they stopped wearing diaper at different ages. My 4th daughter, for example, stopped wearing diaper even during the night when she was about 3-4 y.o. But my 5th daughter has stopped wearing diaper since she was about 2 years and a half. We just need to be there to always guide them.
