My Favorite Teacher
There are a lot of memes circling around the neighborhood that I can’t seem to keep up. I have my own list of memes saved in an Excel file, but still I lack the resources to join each and every one of those. 
Yeah I seriously need a camera!
Good thing that the Girls Talk meme is all about question and answer portion wherein I don’t need a camera for this. (LOL)
June is the start of the dreaded school days here in the Philippines (for both parents and kids) and this month, GT is all about school! Oooh nostalgia. 
This week, it’s all about our favorite teacher. First and foremost, being a Filipino-looking student in a Chinese school isn’t really something to be happy about. Most of the time, I get teased by my teachers because they just couldn’t believe that I can manage to get honors despite my “non-Chinese” look. I had to endure that during my elementary and high school years, and honestly it just made me feel less confident of myself. I never was close to any of my teachers since I’m not a “sipsip” type of a student. I couldn’t care less as long as I did my assignments and passed the tests.
But there was this one Chinese teacher who believed in me. She never teased me as a “brown-skinned Chinese-wannabe”. I never knew her English name and I don’t even know if she remembers me. It was almost 19 years ago (I was in grade 1) and up until now, I could remember how sweet and caring she was. I don’t have a picture of her though, but wherever she is right now, I would like to say thanks.

Wow, honors! Galing mo naman hehe. It’s good you were able to overcome whatever obstacles those were. It’s not easy being different, or at least, thinking that you’re different.

I really want to learn Chinese but I don’t have a single drop of Chinese blood in me and my parents could not afford to enroll me in a Chinese school. too bad for me. But anyway, I have met so many CHinese classmates during my College years and they are really intelligent
