Julie and Her Plant

Last Friday, my daughter brought home one of their school activities which was her mung bean plant (munggo). When I saw the plant, it reminded me of how I did the same when I was a kid for a school work as well.

Ever since she got the plant home, every time she wakes up, she would go straight to the plant and check on its growth, and would yell something like “Mommy look!!! The plant is growing!” then while carrying the plant with her, she would call everyone’s attention and show the improvement as if boasting. She even asked me to take a picture of her with the plant! :-D Isn’t that cute?

I’m glad that she finds interest in plants as well as nature. I think she got that from me. ;) I could probably take her to some nature trips next time when she’s older. I’m excited! ^_^

I’m sharing this post for this week’s:

  1. Visiting from Green Monday.

Hello! We used to do the same back in school wayback twenty years ago? Hehehe. That’s a good start to teach kids to love nature. :)

  7. I knew it. It was a bean plant the first time I looked at the plant. How old is she? She’s been bottle-feeding.

Julia’s so cute! (with her bottle on cute din! ahihi) We here at home loves plating too! Watercress and basil are the favorites, we’ll try mung beans too since I cook that a lot!

better if the mung bean sprouts be transplanted na sis :) , my younger son was the one who is very much interested in planting, he helps me during weekends pruning some of my ornamental plants, he enjoys weeding and watering them too :)
