Merry Christmas 2011
During the Christmas seasons, usually, people are quite alive and every streets are filled with kids and adults alike going to churches, having an intimate Christmas dinner with family and friends, or some would even go for online free bingo and take their luck to the next level to avoid the crowd at the comforts of their own homes. People look for different ways to celebrate the holidays and make themselves as merry as possible, after all, it’s “Merry” Christmas, right?

Although for the first time ever, this year, it felt so different. Our street was very quiet during 12:00AM of December 25, no lights in the other houses, just street lights and an empty street. It seemed like no one really cared about the holiday, or some kids probably were just playing online games and stuff, or maybe everyone was all sleeping, and that includes my family. I think I was the only one awake during that time, and it really did felt very odd. I didn’t really bother checking the online world as well, since I was thinking that everyone would be too busy with their Christmas dinner or “Noche Buena” as we call it here in the Philippines. Feeling weird and a bit sad at the same time, I just watched TV until I felt sleepy myself.
Morning came, and somehow, I felt a bit happy when I got up and found a few text messages from my friends greeting me for the holidays. My kumpare and his family even invited me and Julie for a kiddie bonding moments in Rizal Park.I knew there would be a lot of people but it was worth the visit. The kids enjoyed the dancing fountain, and had a blast in the playground. Although Julie cried when we were in the playground since she’s not used to playing with a lot of kids and getting squished in the slide’s stairs, she stopped crying after few more servings of siomai LOL!
How about you? Was your Christmas? How did you spend the holiday?

Glad to hear you had a wonderful Christmas! We celebrated Christmas with my side of the family, and my son had a blast playing with his cousins, singing using his tita’s WOW Magic Sing, and going to the basketball court. Merry Christmas to you and your family, and advance Happy New Year, too!
