One Week to School
Summer’s almost over and school is near! Mommies around are getting ready for school day. Buying books, school supplies, school uniforms, cheap scrubs (for those who have kids taking up nursing course), and whatever our kids would need for school, I’m sure we’re all getting ready for this.
As for me, I’m both excited and nervous as it’s going to be my daughter’s first day of school this coming June. I’m excited to see her in uniform, carrying a bag and a lunch box, and coming home with her hands full of stamped stars. At the same time, I’m nervous that she might not enjoy her first day or she might get into a fight with someone.
I’m very glad that I survived the dreaded tuition fee. I’ve bought her her uniforms, books and supplies. I’ll be buying her shoes and socks this week. I’ll start planning her snacks as well (excited much?). Well, as the matter of fact, my daughter is actually very excited whenever the word “school” is mentioned and I hope she meets a lot of friends. All I could say is that it’s really difficult when you’re enrolling your kid in a private school, I know I had the choice to let her go to a public school instead, but I have my own reasons…

I felt the same way too last year when my little boy started going to school. Now it’s just one week away… but my little boy is not excited anymore. I, on the other hand, am worried and anxious because at 4.5 y.o. he’ll be in Kinder 1 already… he might not be able to cope up with the advanced lessons… i just hope he’ll be able to adjust… and classes are earlier! i only have two kids, and my youngest is the only one who’s still studying, he’ll be in grade 6 this school year, i finally had bought his 16 books but i wasn’t able to cover it, anyway his classes will start on june 13, so there’s still an ample time to prepare all his school needs. my eldest son had graduated from an IT course a year ago and was able to get a good job at once.
