PMC Mother’s Day Special – Part 2: The Making

Here’s Part 1: Preparation.

I went to National Bookstore and after I was able to get myself the materials I needed to make the Mother’s Day card yesterday, today I started with the card making. I’m not a professional so please bare with me. Here are some photos I took when I was “creating” the card:

(Please also bear with the picture quality, buying a digital camera is sitting on the top spot of my wishlist ;)) )

For the card, I used a specialty cardboard paper which is colored black and it sparkles. Yes, I’m a sucker for anything that sparkles. :-P Then I used alphabet stickers to spell out “Happy Mothers Day” (pardon me but there was no apostrophe on the stickers)… And for the flower, I used scrapbook stickers (where part of the sticker image is “popped out” using some sort of foam).

Inside, I glued a bond paper and secured it with a light violet ribbon and wrote a Mother’s Day quote (yes, I didn’t use the aid of technology, pure handwritten LOL!) Then I added in some more scrapbook stickers.

Lastly, I tied the ribbon around the card, and used scrapbook stickers (again) to seal it. So that’s the finished product! :-D

It’s very simple, but I hope my secret mommy would like it. ^_^ I’ll be sending this out tomorrow. YAY! ^_^
