Review: Human ♥ Nature’s Bug Shield Lotion
As promised I’d be doing a short review on HHN’s Bug Lotion.

During the rainy seasons, disease like dengue is rampant that we should make sure that we protect ourselves, especially the kids, from those disease-carrying insects like mosquitoes.
My daughter and I somehow attract mosquitoes more than other people (they say we have sweet blood *???*) which is why I always make sure that we both wear pants or pajamas, or if we do wear shorts or anything that exposes our skins, we make sure we put on bug repellants.
Last month, I got myself some Human ♥ Nature products and one of which is their new Bug Shield Lotion. For those who are using insect repellants, make sure that it’s DEET-free.
Before anything else, let’s talk about DEET:
DEET is one of the most common ingredients in insect repellants however it has been proven to be dangerous to one’s health. DEET can cause skin irritations, reactions, and some studies say that DEET is toxic to the central nervous system which may cause seizures, and that its toxic level can be heightened when combined with other insecticides.
Now that’s something I don’t want near my daughter nor myself!
So on to the product… I’ve tried different insect repellants and believe or not, this has been the only product that worked for me, but it was to be applied every 4 hours for its effect to last longer, or else mosquitoes will start their blood-sucking journey towards me.
I actually tested its effectiveness by somehow torturing myself without putting on this insect repellant. I got more or less 5 mosquito bite marks in less than an hour (yeah I guess I really have that sweet tasty blood)! So I dabbed on some of the bug lotion, and after a while, no more mosquito bites! No more scratching! It was a relieve.
Same goes with my daughter. I noticed that mosquitoes are also attracted to her but after constant application of the lotion, no more mosquito bites either! It’s a thumbs up for her.
Not only does it work wonders, we both love the smell too! Citrusy? I don’t really know, but every time the room is filled with the smell, it somehow relaxes my senses.
So all in all, it’s a great product from Human ♥ Nature and I’d definitely get another one after we’ve used it up! Oh and did I mention that it only cost Php79.75?

Yeah you should dear! It really works for me as opposed to other repellants.
And I read your post on your dengue… I’m sorry about that and stay safe.
