Mommy, What Time Is It?

Weeee! First time joining Ruby Tuesday :) As I was searching for anything red here in my laptop, I saw this one which I know would be perfect for this meme.

This photo was taken when my daughter was about to be brought to her pediatrician for her check-up. She enjoyed the watch so much that she posed as if she was looking at the time. I’ve yet to teach her how to tell time. ;)

I remembered when I was little, my dad used the “paper plate clock” technique on me. I guess I need to start making a paper plate clock and use the same technique on my daughter…

How about you, how did you teach your little ones how to tell time?

  2. I have many teenage students who still cannot tell time, unless the clock is digital. Analog clocks are a mystery to them!

    DID SOMEONE MENTION SCARLET?

    Did someone mention scarlet
Or was it red I heard?
    Perhaps it was a varlet
    Or a vermilion bird
    That shouted out the color
    That’s dearest to my heart.
(It makes me feel much duller
If red is not a part.)

Learning how to tell time is really difficult for young kids because they don’t quite grasp the concept of time.

The photo is adorable, and I hope she enjoys her watch as she learns and watches how to tell time.
