Eldars, Space Marines, Orks, Tau, etc. Yes, it sounds weird for some, but these are some of the races you’ll find if you ever played Dawn of War.

My best friend has been an avid Dawn of War player and introduced me this PC game way back 2006. I was lucky enough that my laptop was able to meet the system requirements that I was able to play and “get-to-know” the game. I wasn’t able to finish the game though, but at least I know it’s an RTS (real-time strategy) game – which I’m not really good at.

Last February, I was invited to spectate a tabletop version of the game. It was pretty cool and I got interested on how the gameplay works, from the movement, targeting, shooting,  killing, and all that. Imagine, playing a tabletop game with the aid of a ruler, tape measure, and dice! And the terrain is R-E-A-L-L-Y something. But cost wise, I think I won’t be able to start my own army anytime soon. :p An army would cost me an arm and a leg. LOL!

My best friend  won the game and he was able to make it to the finals (which I never knew who won). I think I have to ask him once I get the chance to talk to him.

As for me, I would love to play Eldars some day, not only because they are known for their magical powers, but because usually they are colored VOILET! (Yes, I’m usually color biased.)
